Matt,
The package seems interesting. My guess is the drawings or some other information comes out of the smaller boxes created by the wings. I wonder if the overall element could relate to the buildings orinetation on site. Does each fin become one of the Cardinal points showing building placement? With identity like this, consider what each fin contain.
I am assuming no assembly required for your project. If so, consider how the building model is removed, and how might it be re-inserted, or not, once unpacked.
